Pediatric Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy for children is often different from what you will see for adults. A large reason for this is that treatments must be family focused, especially when dealing with younger children and infants. The most effective treatments are often centered around family education, lifestyle modification, and parental handling techniques.

Parents will most often consult because they feel their children are not developing “typically”, whether that means something physical, like concern over their child’s head shape, or because they are not meeting motor milestones, such as sitting, crawling, and walking as quickly as their peers.

The fun part about kids physiotherapy is that treatments are nearly always play based, which means not only will visits be kid friendly, but their “homework” will more often than not be easily integrated into their playtime in order to help achieve their goals.
