Dr. Yvonne Cheah, MBBS, CCFP, graduated from the University of Queensland's Faculty of Medicine in Brisbane, Australia. After completing medical school, she trained in paediatrics, general surgery, and emergency medicine before finishing her family medicine residency with advanced skills in palliative care at James Cook University.
Dr Cheah’s career has been marked by a commitment to complex care in multidisciplinary environments. She served as a primary care physician in Australia, focusing on chronic disease management and child and adolescent health within Aboriginal communities. Since returning to Toronto, she has worked as a locum physician at various community health centres.Her special interests include child and adolescent health, diabetes management, and preventative care.
In her free time, she enjoys music, playing hockey and softball, as well as traveling to new destinations.
